The PriceGRID system is a website accessed by Pharmacists and Suppliers. At your request Suppliers will load price-lists onto PriceGrid for you to see (you can also load pricelists directly into the system yourself). Typically these Pricelists are updated monthly, but can now be updated at any time to give you access to real-time pricing.

When you log onto PriceGRID you can view supplier lists to determine who has certain items and at what price. You can create and price an order to identify the cheapest supplier for every item you need and send these orders electronically. It's quick, simple and brings efficiency to your pharmacy at the click of a button.

Using PriceGRID means you can choose the best lines from each and every supplier, every time you place an order. It:

• Doesn't put any restrictions on which suppliers you can order from or the number of suppliers.
• Allows you to load you own pricelists or tenders and view pricelists loaded for you by wholesalers, including monthly, weekly or daily specials.
• Enables you to order, without constraint, any product for which a wholesaler provides a price.
• Makes visible all the prices and suppliers of any product searched or any product in your order.
• Enables you to transmit directly from your PMR system into a pricing system that puts YOU, the pharmacist, in full control of your ordering process, your pricing and to which wholesalers you select.

• View pricelists loaded for you by your supplier(s)
• Load an order – using excel files generated manually or automatically by your dispensing system, or transmit direct from your PMR system

Yes. The system uses YOUR pricelists. These can either be loaded directly by the suppliers or you can load them yourself. What you see on PriceGRID are all the prices that each supplier has posted for YOU, as well as any other pricelists, tenders or special prices that you wish to load yourself. Your prices will be particular to your pharmacy and will not be the same as other pharmacies.

No. ALL the product lines typically offered by wholesalers can be ordered through the system – this includes Dressings, Insulins, CDs, Nutritional and many OTC items.

PriceGRID is a fully hosted solution. That means that all the processing takes place on a remote server. All you need to access this functionality is a web browser (e.g Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox) on your PC or mobile device.

PriceGRID was developed as a partnership between a Community Pharmacist and a Software Entrepreneur. There was a need to develop an automated process for selecting the most competitive prices for an order, which at best was being done using templates and spreadsheets and at worst was manually comparing prices from PLOF sheets. This automated process was the basis for the PriceGRID system, which was first deployed with customers in February 2006. The product has been continually refined over the years including the migration to a hosted Internet solution. The latest upgrades have included moving platform, streamlining the functionality and facilitating transmission of orders direct from your PMR system into PriceGRID.
